Micronutris is the world’s first manufacturer of edible insects that are ISO 22000 certified. High quality production in France promises strict hygiene regulations and a 100% plant-based and organic feeding of the insects.

It is Micronutris’ vision to promote sustainable nutrition by raising awareness of edible insects with high quality products. Their entire actions are based on a strong conviction: To combine health, nutrition, pleasure and environment through a special and innovative know-how in production and processing.

Micronutris – for pioneers

Micronutris is raising two insect species: the mealworm (Tenebrio molitor) and the banded cricket (Gryllode sigillatus). The insects are born and raised in their insect farm close to Toulouse. Micronutris’ biologists developed methods which enable the insects’ optimal development under very strict hygiene regulations and by a 100% plant-based and organic feeding.

The insects are processed and packed in a laboratory specially designed for this reason. Micronutris implemented an HACCP plan in order to meet the legal requirements. The processing and packaging methods comply with the revised regulations of the CE N°2073/2005. Periodic analyses of the insects are conducted by independent and internationally approved laboratories. In addition, Micronutris carries out voluntary analyses to inspect the insects for allergy triggers and infections.

Microdélices - Chocolate Bar

Micronutris SchokoladeOur gluten-free chocolate was developed with the know-how of a Maître Chocolatier. In the production, only high quality chocolate with the “Growing Great Chocolate” seal is used. The crickets as well as the mealworms are giving the chocolate a tender hazelnut taste and creating a “puffed rice” effect.

Micronutris My Impact Protein-Riegel

Our bars contain mealworm powder, an excellent source of proteins (60%), Omega 3, numerous vitamins and minerals. The protein delivers important amino acids, such as leucin, isoleucin and valin. Mealworms are a natural source of nutrients, which are free of hormones and antibiotics.
